How do ideas,thoughts,theory's,hypothesis and fashion's proliferate freely?

How do these ideas etc install or impose themselves into our consciousness and what might they be doing when they are there?

These blocks of self replicating information (Memes,Temes,Thought Contagion,Thought Virus, Unit of cultural hereditary,Contagious information pattern etc etc ) appear to combine and evolve using Darwinian principles.  How are they controlled?  if at all.

If they can change the behaviour of individuals and groups shouldn't we be interested in how they do?  How they are produced?  Who might be using them ?

Are you curious if you can immunise your self against being influenced or manipulated by them?

Were you even aware of the possibility that they they exist?

If not ,and pre-suppose they exist, why not?

Science Fiction....NO!
